Its ok to lose your shit sometimes

As some of you know I have been on a bit of a journey with my investment property… the tenants treated it like shit and left a big shitty, shit fight of a mess for us to clean up. There were holes in walls and doors, windows kicked in and a whole lot of their shitty shit left out the front for us to sort out and dump.

Now this is a small old house in an area that would be regarded as a low socioeconomic area, areas and houses that I have lived in before I got to this view. But you see, even if you think it is a shitty area, that is no excuse not to look after your plot, your home, your stage, in fact you have an opportunity to show the universe you are ready…

So, we have cleaned up the shit fight and loved up this little house and as always I see, notice and feel the lessons along the way and of course, I don’t want to keep them to myself! ?

So, my two neighbours of this little house, on one side a man called Eric, Eric has lived there for 40 some years and was very relieved when our tenants were evicted, because of course the way we live affects our neighbours, they say love they neighbour as thyself… well when I have no respect for myself I project that onto my neighbour… a lesson right there, let us get our own shit sorted out. On the other side was a guy we called ‘Old Mate’… he didn’t really want to share his name so we called him’ Old Mate’… now old mate also lived in a shit fight… he had shit everywhere and it was a big bloody mess and funnily enough they were mates with our tenants… and with all of the people coming and going … well there was some funny shit going on there… but this is what happened…

As we started cleaning up… the neighbours would watch us spend hours and hours hauling out all of this shit out of our property… Old mate and Eric would come out for a chat… and Eric was always willing to help, he wanted better neighbours… and then suddenly Old mate wants to help too! One day I am there with Thomas and Craig hauling more shit out and mowing the lawn and Old Mate is helping mow, he is getting his son to help and I am thinking… ‘Old Mate, I appreciate your help, but you might want to clean up some of your shit…’ And to be fair he did run the whipper snipper around a bit… but it was all a bit too big…

And then one day I went out to the property ready to clean up a pile of shit in the back yard and somebody had been to collect that shit and they had even stood my clothesline back up… I still don’t know who that was, but I was grateful…maybe the Universe tapped somebody on the shoulder and asked them to help with all that shit.

Now, ‘Old Mate’ couldn’t get his shit together and he was evicted and somebody had to come and clean out all of his shit… I am sorry he was evicted, but that Universe is giving him a message, should he choose to get it… you just got to get your shit together and take some personal responsibility… so as we cleaned our place up, it was like this ripple started to happen, next minute Eric, is spending a bit more time cleaning up his yard, the people over the road came out and started cleaning up their front yard… suddenly the whole street is looking and feeling brighter and better…

A lesson for all of us… we have get to get the foundations right… we all know the benefits to de cluttering and cleaning up and how good it looks, but more than that, how good it ‘feels’ it is good for the soul… we feel lighter and we allow more room for growth and high level thinking…. it is one fo the foundations of Feng Shui… it is one of the foundations for operating at a higher level… otherwise we are trying to build strong buildings on shitty, shaky foundations…. when Jack joined the Army, they couldn’t move onto the big stuff until they learned to make their damn bed properly…

So, in reflection, I feel like I have a pocket of time to make sure I have my shit sorted out… and I have a bit of shit I need to clean up, and I notice that a lot of other people seem to be doing this at the moment too… and this is good… however I also saw that some people were cleaning out their shit and dumping it off out the front of Lifeline etc!!?

WTF, that is NOT sorting out shit, that is shit transference… sort your own shit out!!

And when we do that staff rooms wouldn’t need signs asking people to wash their coffee cups?? Of course you would wash your damn shitty coffee cup out, it is your coffee cup… treat yourself and those around you with respect and don’t leave your shit for someone else to sort out. And when we do that, we can put up a sign instead that says, ‘Welcome to you safe space, to relax, reconnect, reflect and release all of those creative and inspiring ideas you have’, or something like that.

And so my name is Julie, and I may be sounding like I have lost my shit… and I have some shit here to sort out and I am going to get it done so I don’t have a shit storm going on here… phew, glad I got all that out of my head!
