Are you watching your self talk?

So I had a flight, cruise and walk booked to do today to Milford Sound in New Zealand… been on my bucket list to walk it over the 4 days, I don’t have time for that so thought this would be a great combination… well it was cancelled due to the weather… and although that was disappointing, we have to be careful of our self talk around that… ‘Oh well that is a pain… I might never get the chance again… why did that have to happen today?’… Stop it… stop it… the Universe is not working against us.. the Universe is conspiring in my favour and saving me from something… so now I have other things to do so just flow…
I had considered doing the walk up the top to the Skyline… have got the Gondola up on a number of occasions, but never done the walk… the “Tiki Trail’… so I am up, dressed, take a walk through town… look up…
‘Oh, I am not sure I have the energy for it today’… walk past again… look up…
‘Maybe I will do it tomorrow when the weather is better….’ walk past, look up…
“Oh for Gods sake, I just take a walk to the bottom of it…. ‘ I take a walk and ‘ I will just walk up a bit and see how steep it is’…. and then…. ‘Oh look there is a chair I can sit on… got to get a photo on that’… and then… ‘I will just go up to that next section where I can stop and see the view’… and then I notice the tall, tall pine trees swaying in the wind… I notice how they are flexible and move with the ‘energy’ the ‘life’ around them.. not staying so rigid but allowing themselves some flow… ‘Clever trees’ I say to myself… and then…. “I will just see what is around this corner’… and then ‘Well I have come to far to turn back now’…
And so it is with one step at a time we make it to the views that await us… just start with the first step, allow yourself a moment to stop and notice the views and how far you have come and that will be enough to inspire you to take the next steps…
And if that is not enough to inspire you, the lady with the baby on her back and the elderly couple sprinting past you surely will! 😉
